Essential Functions:, • Quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plots, metes and bounds descriptions, review of title commitment reports and construction layout services., • Provide weekly progress and status reports on project deliverables to all project stakeholders and management team., • Responsible for administering surveying activities which includes oversight of staff, technical resources, and client communication for multiple projects., • Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety and quality assurance procedures., • Effectively convey our Integrated Business Model in both written and verbal business development discussions and create/maintain our strong presence and leadership in the market and beyond., • Initiate and participate in business development activities to partner with new and existing clients., • Continually seeks opportunities to increase client satisfaction and deepen client relationships., • Monitor project budgets and accountability for project profitability; prepare and review project billing reports for monthly invoicing; work with accounting department on account collections., • Staff development, contract preparation, know your numbers and be accountable for them., • Champion our brand, our values and our culture with your positive attitude, dress and demeanor, • Exemplify the highest level of commitment, positively work the hours needed., • Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:, • Minimum of 8 years of survey experience., • New York Licensed Land Surveyor., • Proven track record of business development and leadership., • Bachelor's Degree preferred., • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D., • Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of the organization., • Must possess excellent communication, diplomacy and listening skills; specifically, be accessible and responsive to the needs of clients., • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret drawings and the most complex documents., • Ability to operate a computer, using technical software and other applications., • spreadsheets, and other business software., • Driven to succeed. Physical Requirements:, • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Job Description Reports to: VP of Talent and People Management Location: Hybrid, based in Garden City, NY with travel to work locations Status: Full-Time, Exempt Position Summary The Assistant Director of Talent and People Management plays a key role in building and sustaining a high-performing, mission-aligned workforce. This position supports all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational development. The Assistant Director serves as a thought partner to senior leadership and a trusted resource to managers and staff across the organization. This role requires demonstrated experience in guiding projects from initial planning through to successful completion. Key Responsibilities Talent Management & Development • Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring equitable and effective hiring practices across all levels of the organization., • Partner with senior management and vocational services to forecast staffing needs and develop workforce plans aligned with organizational goals., • Support performance management initiatives, including 360 feedback cycles, professional development planning., • Lead initiatives to strengthen employee engagement, recognition, and retention., • Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility throughout all HR processes and communications., • Coordinate employee recognition programs, milestone awards, and organizational events (e.g., NDEAM, service awards, wellness initiatives)., • Oversee core HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, compensation updates, and policy implementation., • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and EEOC requirements., • Partner with payroll and finance to ensure accurate processing of benefits, leave, and employment changes., • Responsible for compiling and preparing data for filings including 5500s, EEO-1, VETS4212 and other reports as required., • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of employee data in HCM system by performing regular audits, • Provide support and training to employees and managers on using HCM system effectively, troubleshooting issues., • Supervise HR staff and provide coaching and guidance to ensure quality service delivery and professional growth., • Serve as a resource for managers on employee relations, performance improvement, and team development., • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Vocational Services and Development & Engagement to align HR initiatives with organizational strategy., • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency and employee experience., • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred)., • 7+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, including supervisory or team leadership roles., • Commitment to our mission of creating inclusive employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities., • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and nonprofit compliance standards., • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and talent development., • Ability to translate organizational goals and objectives into strategic HR project plans, ensuring all initiatives directly support business goals, • Proven experience managing and optimizing HCM/HRMS platforms, • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills., • Ability to travel to work locations in NYC, Nassau, Suffolk, Albany and Essex (NJ) counties as needed., • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
