Job Description The Rallye Motor Company, Long Island's premiere luxury automotive group, has an immediate opportunity for a Tire Technicians and Shop Assistants with Rallye BMW! Seeking reliable and motivated individuals with automotive experience, looking to join a team whose values are based on teamwork and delivering the highest caliber of customer service! Tire Technician Responsibilities: • Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health., • Recommend appropriate repair treatment or replacement of tires., • Repair punctures and replace faulty valves., • Install new tires., • Balance tires and complete wheel alignment procedures., • Conduct roadside repairs., • Examine vehicles to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to the Service Advisor., • Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on the repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised., • Clearly and accurately document all work performed; ensure accurate time stamps for warranty, internal, and customer pay work., • Road test vehicles as required or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate., • Only perform work that is authorized by the customer or by the warranty., • Examine and test-drive all vehicles to ensure that the cause of vehicle malfunctions and recommend/ perform repairs are completed. Communicate all discrepancies to the Service Manager., • Road test vehicles as required or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate., • Inspecting all work as described on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy., • Charge all vehicle batteries., • Move Vehicles in and around the shop., • Assist in towing in all non-running vehicles using shop supplied equipment., • Shop organization including equipment, tools, supplies, and parts.
