About You Summary The Manager, Promotional Marketing leads the development, execution, and optimization of promotional strategies across circular, digital, and in-store channels for The Fresh Grocer, Fairway, and Gourmet Garage banners. This role ensures alignment across merchandising, marketing, sales planning and advertising to deliver cohesive campaigns that drive sales and customer engagement. This position holds accountability for both the financial performance of promotional investments, including coupon budget ownership, and the effectiveness of customer-facing programs in driving store traffic, engagement, and sales. Essential Functions: Circular & Promotional Planning • Lead development and execution of weekly circular strategy, ensuring offers and messaging drive customer traffic and in-store sales, • Own the effectiveness of the circular as a primary customer-facing vehicle, driving engagement, trips, and value perception, • Ensure alignment of promotional storytelling across circular, digital, and in-store channels to deliver a seamless customer experience, • Coordinate cross-divisional promotional planning to maintain consistent, relevant, and competitive offers Coupon Strategy & Budget Management • Own the development, management, and execution of the banner specific coupon budget, • Consult annual budget build process across divisions and initiatives, • Allocate and manage coupon investments to balance sales lift, customer value, and financial performance, • Accountable to coupon spend against budget, identifying risks, variances, and optimization opportunities, • Design coupon programs that drive incremental customer trips, strengthen loyalty, and enhance value perception Cross-Functional Leadership • Serve as central leader aligning Sales Planning, Merchandising, Advertising and Marketing, • Drive decision-making balancing sales goals, marketing priorities, and operational feasibility, • Lead cross-functional meetings to align priorities and resolve issues, • Influence stakeholders to ensure adoption of standards and strategies, • Ensure promotional strategies deliver both financial results and increased customers Performance & Analytics • Measure promotional impact on customer traffic, sales lift, and engagement, • Evaluate coupon performance against budget and ROI, • Provide recommendations to improve financial outcomes and customer impact, • Present insights to leadership to guide future strategy Program Execution • Own end-to-end execution of promotional programs across all channels, • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment in all customer-facing materials, • Drive continuous improvements in processes and workflows, • Resolve cross-functional issues quickly to maintain execution timelines Team Leadership & Development • Provide direction, prioritization, and accountability for the team, • Coach team members to enhance analytical and business capabilities, • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement Additional Functions Data Management & Reporting • Prepare executive recaps and summaries for leadership, • Analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities, • Support development of marketing initiatives Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field, • Experience in retail marketing, sales planning, or merchandising, • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment Physical Demands and Work Environment: • Ability to sit/stand in front of a computer for long periods of time., • Ability to participate in retail store visits, • Ability to travel as required About The Work This job description is intended to set forth the general nature and essential duties and responsibilities of the work performed by associates for this position.It may not contain a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of associates to do this job.
