Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Uniondale, New York. In this role, you will collaborate with the Desktop Services team to ensure the seamless setup, deployment, and maintenance of laptops, as well as provide technical assistance to resolve user issues. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity problems while maintaining documentation for processes and procedures. Responsibilities: • Prepare and image new and existing laptops using standard imaging tools., • Develop clear and comprehensive documentation for both new and established procedures., • Configure workstations and cubicles for new employees and contractors., • Address helpdesk tickets related to hardware, software, operating systems, and user accounts., • Provide support for end-user software, connectivity issues, and general IT services., • Maintain the security and integrity of enterprise data on client computers and during data transfers., • Oversee and manage printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices., • Administer user accounts, permissions, and storage allocations in line with privacy and security standards., • Diagnose and resolve workstation hardware and software issues, escalating complex incidents as needed., • Implement and recommend updates, patches, and reconfigurations for software and hardware systems.• A degree in computer science or a related field, or at least 2 years of experience in desktop support or helpdesk roles., • Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems or Networking is preferred., • Proficiency in PC systems (Windows 7/10/11) and Mac environments., • Familiarity with Office 365, Active Directory, web browsers, and other system software standards., • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting both software and hardware issues., • Experience in documenting configurations and maintaining procedural information., • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and industry best practices., • Strong customer service skills paired with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
