We are looking for a Comboman who can do more than just body work for a busy auto body and collision shop in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. Skills and responsibilities include: 1. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner and maintains tools and equipment. 2. Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.Prepares vehicles for body repair work. 3. Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Experience is required and the potential candidate must show off his skills before getting hired, salary is commensurate upon skills. Additionally, this will be a full time position for the right person. The position is initially for a contractor that we can call the day (or two) before to come and work in the shop.

Shift: Sunday to Thursday from 11 P.M. – 7 A.M. Responsibilities: Use hand tools to repair paint and plaster damage. Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to repair buildings. Install water and gas lines, sewers, pipes, vents, ducts, wires, and fixtures. Use hand tools to repair damaged plaster walls, molding, and other damaged surfaces. Be able to bend, cut, and fit pipes. Plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, lighting, carpentry, drywall, plastering, painting, door/lock repair, etc. Knowledge of building systems including, boiler & HVAC systems, electrical & plumbing systems, fire protection systems, security/access systems, elevators, BMS, etc. A successful candidate should be a team player, career-oriented, reliable & accountable with a willingness to learn. Proactive & responsible with the ability to inspect the property and recognize & address issues before they arise while always conducting themselves in a professional manner.
