Job DescriptionSUMMARY: This position focuses on keeping production operational by supporting the tool maker and production maintenance tech to complete any necessary tasks for operation, continuous improvement, or new lines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple tasks at once. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.) • Machining:, • Manufacture or repair “consumable” tooling and maintain the designated inventory of safety stock for all consumable tools. Request raw materials as required., • Complete all tasks as assigned by the tool maker, including (but not limited to):, • material preparation (roughing and squaring),, • drilling and tapping of holes and other supporting tasks., • Fixture repair and replacement., • Make simple fixtures and tools., • Act as the primary contact/coordinator to drive any rework operations requiring machining. Ensure work is completed safely and accurately., • Produce any service tool kits as requested by the production scheduling team., • Be able to set up and safely use a manual vertical mill, horizontal lathe, bandsaw (vertical and horizontal), shear, and break., • Be able to use various measuring tools, including (but not limited to): micrometer, calipers, tape measure, optical comparator, and feeler gages., • Complete all tasks accurately and with concern for safe operations., • Hands-on Technical work:, • Be able to clearly communicate observed complex problems., • A general understanding of control systems including sensors, operator controls, pneumatic valving, timers and relays, and power. Be able to logically work through a problem to identify a faulted component and demonstrate the suspected component is faulty. Replace it once identified., • Use electrical diagnostic tools, as required (multi-meter, test boxes, computer, etc.), • Ensure production cells are operable and efficient. Make recommendations to management for improvements and execute the approved changes., • Support the primary technician as required., • Other related Duties:, • Demonstrate safe behaviors in all tasks. Lead by example., • Clearly communicate verbally or via electronic media (text, Teams, Email). Make sure to keep the second shift personnel informed of changes within the cells., • Use typical business computers and software, typically: Email, Teams, Texting, and MS Office. AutoCAD experience a plus., • Support other departments as required., • Assist with building, grounds and vehicle maintenance if requested by Manager., • If a credit card is issued, abide by all the rules related to the company card and agree to submit receipts monthly or as otherwise requested., • Any other tasks assigned.GENERAL, • Keep manager advised of potential problems., • Follow safety rules and set an example of safe behavior., • Use communication and data entry software as necessary., • Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Specialized training certificate in machining, computers, automation, automotive or mechanics preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read engineering drawings and documentation is preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to apply basic arithmetic functions. REASONING SKILLS - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out multiple step instructions. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must have a valid driver's license. Any related certifications a plus, such as HVAC, electrician, etc. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use of hands, talk, and hear. Job Description Title: Light Industrial - Receiving Forklift Operator Location: Norristown PA 19403 Duration: 4 Months Shift/Time Zone: 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday Rate : $18.00/hr Basic Purpose: Job Description: Basic Purpose: Responsible for shipping, receiving and routing of materials into and out of the Business Unit (BU), as well as the appropriate documentation and data entry. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. -Receive, inspect, verify, process and route all materials into the facility and off-site facilities (remote sites) and enter the receipts in the Materials Management software system., 2. -Notify the Warehouse Manager of any discrepancies of materials versus shipping documentation., 3. -Prepare shipments, including documentation, for outbound shipments., 4. -Manage the Returned Goods process according to the Returned Goods SOP., 5. -Deliver stock to the appropriate staging area for departments., 6. -Put warehoused items in the designated storage areas and rotate stock according to receipt date and expiration dates to ensure proper stock rotation and use prior to expiration., 7. -Note any short dated materials upon receipt (less than 30 days of shelf life) and report to the Warehouse Manager to determine any possible actions that may need taken., 8. -Assist in cycle count and full physical inventory., 9. -Comply with all applicable and current Materials and Services Management, Human Resources, Employee Health and Safety, Compliance, OSHA, CLIA, etc. policies and procedures., 10. -Analyze current procedures in place and make recommendations for process improvements to the Warehouse Manager., 11. -Assist in order entry, picking, packing and delivery of both internal and external orders as needed., 12. -Assist in record storage and retrieval process as needed., 13. -Assist in preparation, receipt and distribution of internal, inbound and external mail as needed., 14. -Perform other duties as required.
