Manufacturing Supervisor Position Summary: Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities of the manufacturing department that includes blending, encapsulation, tablet compression and tablet coating. This position is responsible for the leadership and performance of these departments and functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Oversees day to day activities of personnel within the manufacturing department, provides feedback and coaching to direct reports., • Develops shift staffing plans and oversees execution of work based on the master production schedule., • Responsible for the attainment of planned outputs, schedule adherence, labor efficiency, material efficiency, process improvements, and human capital utilization., • Responsible for daily production reporting, including shift notes/summary and other data as needed., • Identifies opportunities for higher levels of efficiency in the manufacturing areas. Enhances and optimizes processes as opportunities are identified., • Directs and appraises the performance of personnel immediately reporting and provides the necessary coordination of all activities., • Selects and maintains qualified personnel in all positions reporting directly., • Coordinates activities of the manufacturing department with those of other departments. Seeks mutual agreement on problems involving coordination and collaboration., • Provides orientation and on the job training for subordinates and ensures that the authority and responsibility for each position is defined and understood., • Oversees and enforces Reliance compliance with all cGMPs, safety and regulatory requirements., • Troubleshoots manufacturing issues related to blending, encapsulation, tablet compression, and tablet coating to ensure consistent quality and operational efficiency., • Provides hands-on technical support on the manufacturing floor as needed to resolve equipment, process, or product-related challenges. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline, or 5+ years of related experience., • Minimum of three (3) years prior experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment., • Prior people leadership experience preferred., • Well-developed management skills – principles an, • Demonstrated hands-on experience with blending, encapsulation, tablet compression, and tablet coating operations., • Strong conceptual understanding of operating systems and capabilities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities., • Participative management style – team player., • Hands-on mentality.
