Job Description Summary: This position supervises the daily activities of the inventory control staff and ensures that adequate levels of materials and finished goods inventory are maintained to support business operations. The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for evaluating inventory requirements, implementing effective inventory control procedures, and maintaining accurate records of materials on hand and on order. This role also oversees the receipt, unloading, identification, and storage of incoming merchandise, reconciles inventory discrepancies, and escalates irregularities to management as appropriate. Primary Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the Shipping Department to ensure the efficient flow of all shipments and to manage inventory levels for all products on a monthly and annual basis., • Collect and compile inventory data and reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities through inventory reduction, consolidation, and product mix optimization, including support of preferred supplier programs., • Identify, pull, and deliver raw materials for production, and perform quality checks in accordance with company policies and procedures., • Work with Purchasing and Accounting to review excess and obsolete inventory, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate disposition options for surplus materials., • Support inventory analysis activities across departments and assist in evaluating material usage, delivery trends, and inventory needs., • Provide accurate and current inventory data to support purchasing decisions., • Supervise and coordinate periodic physical inventories, monitor cycle count programs, and ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely resolution of identified inventory issues., • Oversee the work performed by inventory support personnel., • Supervise and support the timely and accurate picking of orders., • Train employees and staff on inventory procedures and processes., • Communicate with management regarding inventory issues and provide recommendations for process improvements when necessary., • Compile information relating to the receipt and disbursement of materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies, and calculate inventory balances and related costs., • Prepare lists of depleted, defective, or unusable items and recommend appropriate review or disposition., • Recommend inventory reductions or product rationalization opportunities for items that do not meaningfully support company objectives., • Operate a forklift and standard office equipment, including a computer and calculator., • Perform regular quality checks on incoming vendor supplies and maintain accurate records of all receipts., • Maintain stock in appropriate warehouse locations and rotate inventory to ensure older stock is used first, where applicable., • Prepare spreadsheets and maintain documentation relating to shipments and warehouse equipment., • Adhere to and promote company values by performing all duties in a manner consistent with leadership expectations and the continued growth of the company. Job Requirements: • Associate's degree or equivalent certification required., • Two to five years of experience in product and/or inventory administration required; experience with safety stock and order quantity analysis is a plus., • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel., • Knowledge of general business practices., • Excellent communication skills., • Sound judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively., • Excellent organizational skills.
