About Our Family We're a lively family in Montclair, NJ, balancing work, school, and everything in between with a good dose of humor and creativity. With both parents managing busy careers and a bustling household, we cherish the time we get to spend together and prioritize those moments that truly matter. We've got two kids, one in elementary and the other in middle school, and both are involved in their own activities, so staying on top of schedules is key. And of course, our two friendly cats keep things interesting and add some extra personality to our home. Our goal is to keep things calm and welcoming, creating an environment where everyone can thrive and feel supported, whether that's through managing the day-to-day tasks, keeping up with appointments, or simply enjoying time together as a family. We believe in inclusivity, open-mindedness, and personal growth. Empathy, kindness, and community are important to us, and we're looking for someone who shares these values. You'll be someone who blends seamlessly into our household, managing tasks independently while staying tuned in to the family's needs. We're all about being proactive, taking ownership, and always looking for ways to improve systems to keep life running smoothly. While we're goal-oriented and professional, we also know how important it is to create space for those fun family moments and maintain strong connections. We're looking for someone who can help bring an extra layer of ease to our lives so we can focus on what really matters and have more time for the good stuff. Who You Are / What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who's organized, efficient, and ready to take ownership of a variety of tasks in our busy but fun household. While the job description covers a lot of ground, the heart of this role revolves around three main things: keeping the house running smoothly with a daily reset, grocery shopping and prepping snacks and meals, and organizing and maintaining a system for organizing the house. These are the everyday essentials that will set the tone and rhythm of the role, helping keep everything on track. But it's not all about routine. There will also be plenty of flexibility and the chance to take on a range of ad hoc tasks that might require a little extra initiative and creativity. The ideal candidate will embrace the variety of these responsibilities without feeling overwhelmed and be able to manage their time effectively in a way that makes everything feel manageable. We love someone who thinks outside the box, whether it's coming up with new ways to organize, finding systems that work better, or bringing fresh ideas to keep things running smoothly. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and will dive in and get things done without needing direction. Above all, we want you to feel like part of the family, bringing warmth, empathy, and positive energy to the home, knowing when to engage and when to quietly work your magic behind the scenes.
