Basic Purpose: Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventative maintenance within company standards. Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability. Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed. Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the software system. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines. Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping. Job Description Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of electrical systems within residential apartments and commercial projects. As an Electrical Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring that our projects are completed safely and efficiently. Must reside in New Jersey or Staten Island. Duties: • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities., • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (ammeters, ohmmeters, etc.) to perform electrical tasks with precision., • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support installation and troubleshooting efforts., • Setup low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards., • Conduct routine inspections and tests of electrical components, identify issues, and report findings for further action., • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, especially concerning the handling of both low and high voltage electrical systems., • Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including inspection reports and repair logs.
