We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings and possess strong administrative skills. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within a healthcare facility.
Responsibilities: - Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner - Schedule appointments and maintain patient records accurately - Verify insurance information and process payments - Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct calls to appropriate personnel - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry - Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
Requirements: - Proven experience working in a medical office or similar setting - Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures - Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure - Experience in urgent care, ER, or dental clinic settings is a plus - Previous front desk or receptionist experience is preferred
