LeaderStat is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a six-week contract in Naples, Florida. As an interim Physical Therapist in a skilled nursing setting, you would be responsible for providing patient-centered care to each resident according to their individualized treatment plan while promoting healing and emphasizing the importance of resident independence throughout the rehabilitation process. When you join the LeaderStat team, you’ll be connected with a dedicated specialist before and during your assignment. They will work with you to coordinate onboarding, assist with travel arrangements and mileage reimbursement, and serve as your single point of contact if you have questions or need help along the way. Job Duties Plan and administer prescribed PT treatment programs; help restore resident function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following illness, stroke, surgery, disease, or injury Evaluates residents, develops appropriate treatment goals, and methods, implements the physical therapy treatment plan and completes all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services Provide therapeutic techniques focused on improving gait, ambulation, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory awareness, sitting and standing skills, balance and orientation Design and fit adaptive devices, and trains residents in the use of adaptive devices including canes, orthotics, and prosthetics Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment as necessary Collaborates with all members of the rehabilitation team to adjust resident care plans as necessary Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes residents’ needs and rights; Qualifications At least two years of experience working with the geriatric population, preferably in a long-term care setting Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Florida Completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapists Demonstrated competencies in therapeutic techniques Possess empathy and passion for serving the geriatric population Up-to-date clinical compliance, including Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR via American Heart Association (AHA) Two-step TB test Physical exam within the last 12 months Benefit Weekly
