Job DescriptionMRI Technologist (Cardiac Focus) Location: New York, NY Assignment Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Shift | 5×8 Hours | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay Rate: $56–$66/hour Position Overview A leading healthcare facility in New York City is seeking an experienced and compassionate MRI Technologist with a strong background in cardiac imaging. This short-term assignment offers the opportunity to work with advanced MRI technology in a specialty-focused clinical environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient populations. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols. Responsibilities * Perform high-quality MRI scans, including cardiac MRI (with and without contrast) and musculoskeletal imaging * Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication throughout procedures * Prepare and administer contrast media and initiate peripheral IV access * Collaborate closely with radiologists and clinical teams to support accurate diagnoses * Maintain compliance with imaging protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements * Assist with inpatient imaging as needed; overtime may be required Required Qualifications * Licensure: Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License * Certifications: ARRT (MR), BLS, IV Certification (must be valid at start) * Experience: Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including cardiac MRI and musculoskeletal studies Technical Skills * Proficiency in cardiac MRI (with/without contrast) * Strong experience in musculoskeletal MRI (e.g., Foot, Hand, Hip, Knee, Shoulder, TMJ, Spine) * Skilled in contrast preparation and administration * Experience initiating peripheral IVs Preferred Qualifications * Experience with advanced MRI techniques such as CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo, MRA/MRV, MRCP, MIP, MPR, and T1/T2-weighted imaging * Familiarity with PACS and Siemens MRI systems * Background in Adult ICU, Pediatric Acute Care, or ER/Trauma settings * Experience with EPIC electronic medical records * Prior experience in teaching or community hospital environments For more details contact at or Call / Text at 516-806-4227.
