Our New York office is further strengthening its capabilities in the Criminal Law and Divorce & Family Law practice areas, and we are seeking attorneys who can contribute meaningfully to these core practice groups. Successful candidates will work closely with our U.S. and Korea based legal teams and play an important role in serving a diverse range of clients including individuals, families and businesses. Key Responsibilities ◆ Criminal Law • Represent clients in misdemeanor and felony matters in state and federal courts, • Conduct client interviews, investigate facts and assess case risks to develop strategic defenses, • Handle arraignments, bail applications, plea negotiations and trial preparation, • Draft and file motions, briefs, suppression applications and sentencing submissions, • Advise clients facing investigations including fraud, financial misconduct and other white collar matters, • Coordinate with investigators, experts and cross border teams when necessary ◆ Divorce & Family Law • Represent clients in divorce, child custody, visitation, child support and spousal support matters, • Draft petitions, motions, separation agreements, settlement proposals and supporting affidavits, • Analyze marital property issues including equitable distribution and financial disclosures, • Negotiate settlements and represent clients during conferences, mediation and court appearances, • Provide clear and strategic advice while guiding clients through sensitive and emotionally challenging situations, • Collaborate with financial professionals or overseas counsel for cases involving cross border elements Responsibilities Across All Practice Areas • Conduct consultations, evaluate risks and provide tailored legal advice, • Prepare, review and file pleadings, motions and relevant documentation, • Communicate regularly with clients and manage expectations throughout representation, • Work closely with attorneys across jurisdictions to deliver integrated cross border solutions, • Stay up to date with legal developments and procedural requirements in relevant fields, • Contribute to firm publications including articles and client alerts as appropriate Required Qualifications • Licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar, • Minimum of 3 years of relevant U.S. legal experience in one or more of the listed areas, • Strong legal research, writing and analytical abilities, • Excellent communication and client management skills, • Proven capacity to handle multiple matters under tight deadlines, • High professional standards and commitment to accuracy and client service Preferred Skills and Experiences • Experience in multi-jurisdictional or cross-border legal matters, • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within an international or multilingual environment, • Experience using Clio or similar legal practice management systems What We Offer • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, • Opportunities for professional and career development, • Engagement in global legal projects to enhance international expertise Salary information: $130,000~ (Adjustments based on skills, experience and performance.) ※ Please indicate your desired salary in the application email.
