Our fast-growing, boutique law firm client in mid-town Manhattan, specializing in Construction & Real Estate Litigation & Transactions, is hiring a Senior Attorney OR Partner, Construction Litigation, a newly-created position within its Commercial Construction Litigation group as a result of significant business growth and pipeline. The work will be performed on site 5 days/week at the firm's mid-town Manhattan office and/or in court, with flexibility to work remotely for inclement weather, personal reasons, etc. now and then. Candidates seeking a role at the Partner level MUST BE willing and able to be 'hands on' and in the details, researching, preparing respective legal docs themselves, owning and closing litigation cases on their own with little assistance. Base salary $300k to $400k, plus bonus, plus commission on new business brought into the firm, plus 100% firm-paid healthcare coverage! It's a plus but NOT REQUIRED for candidates to have an established portable book of business. For candidates asked to interview, the interview process will be very quick, meeting with both founding partners / owners at the same time, after which a hiring decision will be made, often the same day as the interview. Key Responsibilities: • Own and perform all aspects of commercial construction litigation from beginning to end with little oversight, • Draft pleadings, briefs, affidavits and other legal documents / filings (NOTE: as this is a small, boutique firm, the quantity of paralegal staff is small; at this advanced level of experience, the new hire MUST have 'hands on' experience performing this work themselves, owning & closing cases beginning to end without much assistance), • Appear in court, • Oversee and help manage 3-4 Associate Attorneys, • Perform legal research, discovery, analyze complex legal matters, prepare legal memoranda Key Requirements: • 8-20 years of relevant, 'hands on' litigation experience; for at least 7 of the past 10 years, within this 10-20 year period, MUST have owned commercial construction litigation cases, • NY Bar, • J.D., • Substantial experience appearing in NY Supreme Court, court conferences, hearings, etc., • MUST HAVE experience handling litigation cases beginning to end, performing the required research, preparing related legal documents, appearing in court, and closing the case, with little assistance, • Must be a litigator, able to analyze and research complex legal matters, perform discovery, prepare appropriate legal documents, and handle client cases beginning to end, • Significant Contract Law experience, • Strong experience with client relations, • Excellent research experience and ability, • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills If qualified, please send your confidential resume to David Rivard, Director of Recruiting at Executive Alliance, at .
