Hearing Representative - Special Education Claims Background on the Project: A prestigious government agency is addressing the backlog of special education claims in New York City to ensure timely and fair resolution of disputes between parents and the city regarding educational plans for children with special needs. Pay Rates: • 1 to 7 years of experience: $41.75/hour, • 7+ years of experience: $43.75/hour Key Responsibilities: • Case Management: Manage a high-volume caseload of 100–200 special education claims, ensuring timely and effective handling., • Representation: Prepare for and/or litigate complex cases involving significant legal precedents, policy implications, or financial impact. The Junior SS shall monitor and control access to facility(s) and restricted areas under their responsibility by checking personnel passes, Common Access Cards (CAC) and validating security clearances utilizing DISS or other security database systems and visit requests. Job Description JOB SUMMARY Specialty Systems, Inc. has an opening for a Computer Scientist / Software Engineer to join our team of technical professionals supporting Government customers and national security mission requirements. In this role, you will support the design, development, testing, and sustainment of software-intensive systems used in military command and control, cryptologic mission activities, and other weapons and intelligence systems. The position involves working within Government-provided environments and adhering to established engineering processes, documentation standards, and development practices. As a member of the Specialty Systems team, you will contribute directly to software solutions that support critical defense and intelligence missions. This position is located at our customer site location at Joint Base MDL. In this position, you will work our customer’s Compressed Work Schedule which consists of working four 9hour days (M-Th) and an 8-hour day (F) for the first week of a cycle followed by four 9-hour days (M-Th) and being off on the second Friday for the second week of a cycle. This results in a 3-day weekend every other week!
