Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is urgently seeking a Sterile Processing Tech for a state of the art health care system in Bethpage, NY. Job Function: \n • Day Shift, Evening Shift and Night Shift.\n, • 7am to 3pm/ 3pm to 11pm/ 11pm to 7am.\n, • Dissembles, cleans, sterilizes, reassembles and packages sterile supplies according to specifications and/or manufacturer instructions. \n, • Follows department procedures to use appropriate sterilization method for various types of instrumentation. \n, • Operates washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic machines, steam and ethylene oxide sterilizers, heat sealers, and additional equipment during sterilization procedures. \n, • Adheres to instrument count sheets for surgical sets and case carts. \n, • Covers and rotates trays and sets per sterile storage guidelines. \n, • Follows safety protocols to ensure no injury to self/others (proper body mechanics, protective apparel during decontamination procedures, etc.) \n\n Job Requirements: \n • CRCST or CSPD required.\n, • 1.5+ years experience accepted if tertiary experience; 2+ years experience if not.\n NURSING ● Registered Nurses (RN) ● Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) ● Travel Nursing ● Quality Assurance/Review, Performance Improvement, HEDIS ● Nursing Leadership ● Case Management ALLIED HEALTH ● Technologists: Medical, Laboratory, Cardiac, RadTech, X-Ray ● Therapy: Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy ● Social Work: LCSW/LMSW, Case Management, Care Coordination ● Med Support: Medical Assistants, Phlebotomy, Surgical/Sterile Techs ● Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs ● Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistants OPERATIONS & FINANCE ● Practice Management ● Clinical Operations ● Administrative Support ● Reception, Clerical, Call Center ● Claims Appeals/Denials/Reimbursement ● Insurance Pre-Authorizations ● Medical Billing/Coding Benefits • 401k retirement plan, • Weekly pay
