Essential Work Functions: • Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes, • Prepare patients for procedures, explain imaging process, and position patients appropriately, • Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology, • Provide high-quality images to Radiologist for interpretation, • Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety, • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality, • Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system, • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services, • Ability to adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities, • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language, • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills, • Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend, • Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism, • Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment, • Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Duties and Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to: • Clearly demonstrate knowledge of dental instruments and assist the dentist in rendering patient care chairside., • Maintain inventory control in the operatories where treatment is rendered by the Provider., • Adhering to OSHA, HIPAA, and CDC guidelines., • Deliver world class patient interactions related to scheduling, follow up treatment, post-surgical information and record keeping., • Be able to perform basic lab procedures such as take impressions, pour models, and prepare cases for external labs., • High School diploma or GED required., • Easily able to learn technologies and systems required and demonstrates a desire to learn, • Applicable licensing required for the state in which you will work:, • For NJ- Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately required., • For MD- Dental Radiologic Technologist (DRT) license or willing to pursue licensure immediately required., • For PA- Radiation Health and Safety certificate or willing to pursue licensure immediately required., • Certified Dental Assistant preferred., • 1+ years work experience as a Dental Assistant preferred., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment., • Requires some flexibility in scheduling, such as the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed., • X-ray License required, • Knowledge of dental instruments and patient care., • Ability to clearly communicate medical information to professional practitioners and/or the general public., • Excellent organization, prioritization, follow up, analytical and time management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Complies with ATC policies/procedures., • Complies with client facility policies/procedures., • Documents accurately and completely services provided., • Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act., • Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved., • Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel., • Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements., • Sets up and explains procedure to patient., • Operates or administers intravenous contrast injectors/injections., • Evaluates CT Scans to determine if additional scanning is needed., • Perform 3 dimensional reformations of CT scans on computer., • Monitors patient safety and comfort and views images of area being scanned on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures., • Performs other related duties as assigned.
