The Role We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Therapist to deliver critical therapeutic services and help our clients achieve lasting recovery. Important Information This position has hybrid flexibility, as we build our census you may have the opportunity to take appointments virtually as well as in person. This position is currently per diem simply meaning you will be paid per service provided at your agreed pay rate. You will have the opportunity to be flexible with your own working schedule as we just opened the facility and need flexibility. Responsibilities • Assist in conducting client assessments to determine appropriate level of care and specific treatment needs., • Co-facilitate group therapy sessions and provide support in individual counseling under the supervision of licensed staff., • Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans., • Assist with case management duties, including client follow-ups and coordinating care with other service providers., • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with OASAS regulations., • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in substance abuse treatment., • CASAC-T or greater, LMSW, MHC-LP, LMHC, LCSW, • 1 year of experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling, • Strong interest in substance abuse counseling and mental health services., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality., • Work in a supportive and mission-driven environment dedicated to excellence., • Make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families in your community. Job Description SUMMARY This position is primarily responsible for the provision of clinical counseling services and comprehensive case management. This position reports directly to the Director of Outpatient Services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Collects and analyzes assessment data which includes substance use, mental health and co-occurring disorders., • Completes intake process and arrives at treatment recommendations and level of care decisions that are appropriate to client’s level of functioning and medical necessity., • Completes psychosocial assessments., • Develops initial and comprehensive individualized treatment plans based on client’s needs, using client’s words, and that have measurable objectives, within established timelines, based on assessment, psychosocial, client’s assessed stage of change, and in consultation with client and treatment team as appropriate., • Provides individual counseling based on treatment plan and client centered needs., • Conducts group counseling. Education and/or Experience: • CASAC and 1 year experience working with applicable populations who have substance abuse/co-occurring disorders; or, • CASAC-T with 2-3 years’ experience working with applicable populations who have substance abuse/co-occurring disorders; or, • HS Diploma and 6 years’ experience working with applicable populations who have substance abuse/co-occurring disorders., • Must have basic computer skills.
