Job Description Estimator : • Retrieves scanned plans from system/downloads bid package and creates folder on estimating server., • Updates weekly meeting minutes notifying of new plans with bid due dates, and updates on status of open bids., • Fills out the Estimating Checklist for every bid., • Updates bid board., • Review landlord requirements, including required or preferred subcontractors., • Reviews subcontractor bid list with assistant estimator to confirm the proper subs are bidding., • Confirms that subcontractor bid invites are sent out to subs within 24-48 hours of receipt of bid package from client., • Confirms a date/time for site visit during the bid process., • Confirms project start/end dates are in the bid package., • Provides trade breakdown to know what trades need to be called for pricing., • Performs all trade take offs and unit costs in order to qualify/quantify subs prices for bid compilation., • Thoroughly reviews project bid documents and plans to get a full understanding of project scope., • Generates RFI’s during the bid process to engage and communicate with client and architect.
