TSINY is looking for a Clinic Supervisor for our Counseling and Crisis Clinic location in Jamaica (Queens), NY. Position Salary: $100,000 annually, Full-Time Position Summary Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the Counseling & Crisis Center ensuring that the therapeutic and psychiatric needs of clients with psychiatric and with co-occurring disorders are met, and State and City guidelines and operating standards are carried out and maintained. Essential Functions • Provide routine clinical supervision to all FFS, full-time clinicians and part-time clinicians., • Provide clinical supervision and/or Field Instruction for students assigned to the Clinic., • Review treatment plans, progress notes and other documentation of staff., • Review intakes and assign admitted consumers to appropriate staff., • Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of full-time clinical staff and FFS consultants., • Ensure staff and consultant compliance with OMH regulations., • Oversee the admission and discharge processes., • Make final clinical decisions about the status of clients., • Assist in recruitment, training and orientation of new staff., • Monitor program statistics and produce requisite reports., • Collaborate with the Clinic Operations Manager to complete introductory employee evaluations and annual goal setting for staff., • Provide in-house training as needed., • Conduct monthly staff meetings and weekly staff supervision., • Conduct monthly high-risk meetings and ensure compliance with high-risk cases., • Establish work schedules and assignments for staff according to workload and space availability., • Maintain caseload of approximately 30 consumers, including monitoring of medication only consumers., • Carry out all essential functions as listed in the Counseling & Crisis Center Mental Health Therapist., • Collaborate on OMH Continuous Quality Impact projects., • Complete monthly program and annual reports in collaboration with Clinic Operations Manager., • be detailed oriented., • be able to work independently and take initiative., • have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines., • possess effective oral and written communication skills., • have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employee, as well as external contacts., • be able to handle confidential and sensitive information., • require manual dexterity for the use of a computer, telephone, fax, or copy machine., • be able to prepare clear, concise reports., • possess knowledge of the needs of client populations and treatment sources., • be able to plan, assign, and direct the work of others., • be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing., • support the mission, values, and vision of the organization., • promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests., • complete requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform, and dress codes, including personal hygiene., • be able to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of issues., • possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, residents, families, professionals, and the public., • possess the ability to communicate sensitive information to principals and clients., • be able to lift items up to 25 pounds., • Be able to sit or stand as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation., • May require walking, primarily on a level surface, for short periods throughout the day, with or without reasonable accommodation., • Be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation., • Driver’s license preferred., • During a declared disaster, assume and adhere to assigned Job Action role(s) consistent with Disaster Preparedness Plan. LCSW or LMHC degree and a minimum of three years’ supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
