Job DescriptionParalegal Litigation Paralegal Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to support our plaintiff-side personal injury and civil litigation practice. The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from intake and discovery through trial preparation and post-judgment matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with discovery processes, legal research abilities, and experience managing case files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Manage case files and maintain organized case calendars, track deadlines, statutes of limitations, hearings, and court dates., • Prepare, draft, and proofread pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, correspondence, and other litigation documents for attorney review., • Prepare, serve, and respond to discovery requests including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission; organize and produce document disclosures., • Conduct factual and legal research using legal research platforms and internal resources; summarize findings and prepare memoranda for attorneys., • Coordinate and schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert witness interviews; prepare deposition summaries and trial binders., • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, medical providers, and expert witnesses to obtain records, updates, and necessary documentation., • Manage document review and e-discovery tasks, including coding, Bates-stamping, organizing exhibits, and preparing privilege logs., • Assist with trial preparation including exhibit preparation, witness lists, jury instructions, and courtroom logistics., • E-file documents with state and federal courts and prepare filings in accordance with local court rules and procedures., • Assist with billing, time entry, and case cost tracking; prepare settlement packages and closing documentation.Qualifications, • Associate degree or paralegal certificate required; Bachelors degree preferred., • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with demonstrable experience in plaintiff-side personal injury and civil litigation matters., • Hands-on experience with discovery processes and e-discovery platforms, including preparing and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and document productions., • Strong legal research skills and familiarity with research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and the ability to summarize legal and factual issues for attorneys., • Proven ability to draft and proofread legal documents with excellent attention to detail and strong written communication skills., • Proficient with case management and document management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, Relativity, or similar) and standard office software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat)., • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload and meet critical deadlines., • Comfortable interacting with clients, medical providers, experts, and court personnel; reliable travel availability for depositions and trials as needed., • Familiarity with local and federal court rules, filing procedures, and electronic filing systems., • Professional demeanor, high ethical standards, and ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
