ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Toms River, New Jersey. • Specialty: Labor and Delivery, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 09/29/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of experience; first-timers welcome Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care for patients experiencing low to high-risk pregnancies, including VBACs, primary cesareans, and repeat cesareans. The ideal candidate will work in a hospital setting with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 during assigned shifts. Key Responsibilities: • Assist with high-risk deliveries and labor management., • Administer medications and monitor patient status, including pain management and labor progression., • Support and educate patients regarding breastfeeding, postpartum care, and newborn assessments., • Perform essential nursing procedures such as sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, and cesarean sections when necessary., • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services, to provide holistic patient care., • Float to mother-baby units as needed, maintaining a focus on maternal and neonatal health. Experience & Qualifications: • Current, valid nursing license in New Jersey or a Compact state., • Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP required; AWHONN (Advanced, Intermediate, or Beginner) preferred., • Experience with electronic charting systems such as EPIC and Centricity is preferred., • Familiarity with patient diagnoses related to labor and delivery, including preeclampsia and gestational diabetes. Additional Requirements: • Candidates should be comfortable floating within their skill set and managing varying patient acuity., • Every third weekend availability is required., • Candidates must have completed a background check with no open or active hits.
