Dispatch Supervisors are experienced problem solvers, adept at handling new challenges with actionable solutions. This role requires effective communication and the ability to navigate difficulties directly and proactively. This role also requires exceptional levels of reliability and a customer-focused approach. Dispatch Supervisors report to the Company’s Distribution Manager. Dispatch Supervisors facilitate deliveries, support and supervise our Drivers in the field, and maintain our distribution equipment and systems. Their daily functions include confirmation of care of delivery vans and trucks by drivers, support of timely delivery of product, route management, driver sheet and route material review, driver handheld and tablet support, review of daily paperwork, and organized truck offload. Dispatch supervisors work overnight hours, typically 10:00 pm to 8:30 am based in our Lake Katrine Bakery, with periodic field work in a physically demanding environment that requires the ability to self-organize and self-motivate. Dispatch Supervisors will periodically cover delivery routes as scheduled or substitute drivers and are expected to have and maintain a professional demeanor and an excellent driving record.
