Job Description Department: Manufacturing Title: Repair Technician Managed By: Repair Station Manager Position Summary: Avionic Instruments LLC is a recognized leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced airborne-qualified power conversion and control equipment. We currently have an outstanding opportunity for an individual to assume a role as a Repair Technician with competitive pay and growth potential. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated self-starter who can work both independently and in a team environment. Responsibilities: Primary duties include, but are not limited to, the following: · Be able to independently test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronics product. · Skilled to troubleshoot down to PC-Board and component level. · Independently repair customer returned equipment on time and with high quality. · Work well in a team environment, with other technicians, customer service reps, and quality. · Support required company performance metrics such as On Time Delivery (OTD) and Turn Around Time (TAT). · Completion of Training is targeted to be 3 months. Rectification (if applicable) is required every two years unless otherwise specified in the course itself Qualifications: · Associate degree or 2+ years of related work experience as technician in electronics field. · Able to read schematic and bill of materials, understand electrical circuits · Able to trouble shoot failed electronics down to component level · Know how to use test equipment such as oscilloscope, power analyzer, multiple-meter, etc. · Able to perform re-work tasks to remove and re-install SMT and through-hole components with solder iron Working Conditions: · Works standing and/or seated while performing duties. · Handles medium to heavy weight material. · ESD control training and compliance with ESD policies may be required. · Safety glasses with side shields required. · No drinking or eating in work areas. · FAA drug test requirements apply. · Must maintain good housekeeping practices. Physical Demands: With or without reasonable accommodation: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
