Intensiveness of the supervision determined by the specific needs of the people supported., • Complete and review assigned reports, logs, and documentation in accordance with ACLD Corporate Compliance Policy., • Assist the people supported with the use of their personal allowance, including oversight in shopping, budgeting and managing their income., • Interact positively with families, Care Managers and other outside providers while assisting the people you support in developing and maintaining relationships. Represent ACLD in a positive manner. Assist the people supported with transportation utilizing agency vehicles. * Attend required staff meetings, supervision sessions and training programs as assigned. • Comply with all training requirements for the job that include online and in person training as applicable. We require: · Clean, valid NYS Driver’s license · High School diploma or equivalent · Some experience working with the intellectually and developmentally disabled population preferred; but will train. Cooking and light housekeeping may be required. · Must obtain and maintain AMAP (within six months of hire) and SCIP certifications · Prior experience as Caregiver, Care Assistant, Personal Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion is a plus Positions are available in various Long Island locations.
