Job Description Job Summary A Recreation Coordinator is responsible for managing and developing recreational programs, activities, and facilities within the organization, such as a city park department or a senior center. They oversee staff, budget management, and program implementation, ensuring safe and engaging experiences for the individuals. Travel to multiple locations is required! The salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000 annually. Job Responsibilities Compliance & Operations • Develop and implement a wide range of recreation outings, including sports, arts, and cultural activities, for various age groups and disabilities., • Supervise, and evaluate staff members involved in recreation activities., • Promote recreation programs for the residents and engage with individuals., • Develop and enforce safety protocols for all recreation activities., • Manage recreation schedules, records, and other administrative tasks related to recreation., • Plan and organize special events and festivals related to recreation., • Bachelor's Degree and substantial related experience is required, • 1-2 years’ experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities required, • 1 year of OPWDD experience is highly preferred, • A minimum of 1 year supervisory work experience required, • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required for site visits is required, • 1-2 years’ experience driving large passenger vehicle required, • Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items.
