Job Description About Baseball Lifestyle 101 BL101 began as an Instagram account started by a baseball obsessed teenager on his couch that started a community and has grown into something bigger than he ever could’ve imagined. Today, Baseball Lifestyle has over 200 employees, retail locations in malls and tournament complexes, and can be found in various sporting goods stores around the country, like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Scheels, and Academy. Pay Range: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour Location: 350 Sills Road, Suite 101, Yaphank, NY 11980 Schedule: Open Availability Benefits: • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Dental insurance, • Employee discount, • Flexible spending account, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Vision insurance Responsibilities • Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel., • Maintain an up-to-date product inventory sheets and pick lists., • Maintain backstock in a neat, clean and organized manner., • Interview, select candidates, and oversee a team of retail associates., • Create and maintaining the schedule for all retail associates., • Delegate responsibilities to retail associates., • Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance., • Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency., • Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget., • Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation., • Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise., • Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays., • Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store., • Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts., • Ensure the store fulfills all safety guidelines., • Contribute to a positive work environment., • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proven experience in retail management, with a strong background in sales and customer service., • Ability to effectively manage cash handling, cash registers, and inventory control., • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team., • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions., • Experience in negotiating with vendors and managing vendor relationships., • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred., • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on customer service and sales growth. Targeted Pay Range: $17.00 - $24.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
