Our menu reflects creativity, urban culture and expressive energy, fusing international flavors from Caribbean, Southern, Asian, and more, with the heart of street food. Our dishes elevate street food classics like tacos, sliders, and fried chicken into gourmet experiences. We take pride in naming our signature dishes after iconic hip hop tracks, albums, or artists, creating a unique, culturally immersive dining atmosphere. Position Overview We are seeking an energetic, skilled line cook who is passionate about food, music, and culture to join our kitchen team. As a line cook, you will be responsible for cooking exceptional food, plating with attention to detail, and preparing dishes according to the Executive Chef's specifications. You will be expected to work alongside other cooks, dishwashers, servers and managers, bringing a positive attitude to the workplace. You will also be held to high standards of cleanliness and organization, being sure to abide by all local laws and regulations concerning food preparation, sanitation and storage. As part of a new kitchen, you will have the opportunity to contribute to new menu ideas and weekly specials. Key Responsibilities Prepare food and execute dishes according to the Chef's Specifications ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Possess a strong understanding of common cooking techniques, such as grilling, sauteing, roasting, braising, etc. Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines. Execute prep lists in a clean, timely manner. Work with other cooks to ensure proper execution of tickets and simultaneous plating. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste. Possess a strong understanding of food safety regulations, including adherence to temperature control and sanitation guidelines. Bring a professional attitude to the workplace, maintaining a positive atmosphere and work environment in both the Front and Back of house. Be willing to perform tasks beyond your workstation, including washing dishes, performing cleaning tasks and helping with special events. Qualifications 2+ years in a high volume, professional kitchen Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper cooking technique and kitchen equipment use Excellent organizational and communication skills Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to be a "team player" Ability to read and execute recipes and follow directions Ability to demonstrate calmness under pressure and execute dishes in a timely manner
