Job Description We are a growing midsize CPA firm specializing in the audits of labor unions and their related fringe benefit funds. We have three locations. Our home office is in Hauppauge and we have offices in Iselin, NJ and Floral Park, NY. Our local clients are on Long Island, NYC, Long Island City and NJ. We have travel accounts to MA, FL, SC and upstate NY. A fast-paced accounting firm is looking for a meticulous individual to provide support. The ideal candidate should excel at handling multiple tasks in a demanding, high volume accounting setting. We are seeking someone who is professional, organized and driven by deadlines, produces high-quality work while managing all assigned responsibilities. The candidate should be capable of working independently and thinking on their own. Additionally, a friendly positive attitude and the ability to adapt quickly while being a team player is essential. Responsibilities: • Exceptional communication skills to handle incoming calls on a multi-line system, convey messages, and provide information as needed, • Welcome guests with a warm and professional approach, • Assist with and sorting incoming mail, packages and deliveries, UPS, FEDEX, • Scanning, copying and digital filing and faxes, • Processing financial statements and tax returns, • Preparing meeting materials, • Processing Payroll Audit letters and checks, • Maintain office lists, • Prepare priority and certified mailings, Overnights packages, and coordinate Walsh messenger, • Friendly and outgoing, • Proficient in operating a multiline phone system, • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Adobe A MUST, • Attention to detail, • Strong communication abilities and a readiness to acquire new skills, • Demonstrated experience in roles such as receptionist, administrative assistant, or similar position is preferred., • Technical skills troubleshooting office equipment (printers/copiers), • Takes initiative Schultheis & Panettieri provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
