Business Development Manager – EO / Geospatial for Infrastructure Remote - based in Italy or Spain Up to €80k base - €120k OTE We’re hiring for a fast‑growing Earth Observation start‑up to make their first dedicated Business Development hire. You’ll work directly with the founders, own the commercial push into the infrastructure sector, and have a clear path to build and lead the sales function as the company scales. The role: • Title: Business Development Manager (first sales hire), • Location: Remote in Spain or Italy (ideally near a major airport), • Focus: Commercialising EO‑driven services for: Linear infrastructure monitoring (e.g. roads, railways), Road construction progress and quality monitoring, • Customers: Large construction / infrastructure corporates and their subcontractors across Spain and Europe You’ll open new doors and take existing EO products and pilots and turn them into repeatable revenue in the infrastructure space. What you’ll do: • Open doors with senior decision‑makers in infrastructure / construction accounts and build a strong pipeline, • Lead the full sales cycle: discovery, shaping use cases, presentations/demos (with technical support initially), proposals and negotiations, • Deliver and then grow against Year‑1 revenue targets, • Feed market insight from infrastructure clients back into product and pricing, • Lay the foundations for a scalable sales organisation and, over time, lead the sales team The profile we’re looking for: We’re looking for a business generator who already combines: EO / Geospatial experience • You have commercial experience selling Earth Observation / geospatial / remote sensing data, analytics or platforms, • You’re used to working with technical teams and explaining EO‑based solutions to non‑technical stakeholders, • Infrastructure knowledge, • You’ve sold into, or worked closely with, infrastructure / construction organisations (e.g. roads, rail, civil works), • You understand how large infrastructure projects are structured and how decisions are made And, more generally: • Proven track record of opening doors and closing new B2B deals, • Comfortable selling complex solutions into organisations with multiple stakeholders, • Able to run your own meetings and demos (with technical back up at first), • Strong communication in English (Spanish/Italian a plus), • Willingness to travel across Spain and Europe for customers and events, • A “builder” mindset. Happy with ambiguity and keen to help shape the commercial strategy, not just execute a script. Compensation • Base salary: approx. €60–80k, depending on experience (with €80k as an upper limit initially), • Variable/bonus: performance‑based, with realistic six‑figure OTE for strong performance, • Fully remote (Spain or Italy), • Standard local holiday allowance, • Company‑provided equipment and regular in‑person team meet‑ups If you'd like to be considered, then please apply via the link provided.
