Say farewell to the ordinary, and hello to the extraordinary! What you’ll do We are looking for an experienced Outlets Manager to join the opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Outlets Manager directs the operations of the Food & Beverage Restaurant and In-Room Dining within the hotel. The Outlets Manager assures the service is true to the SLS brand by fostering a team culture in which its members feel empowered to make decisions and take responsibility for their workload and professional development. Manage and oversee the entire restaurant and In-Room Dining operations. Ensure the food & beverage concept of the restaurant is well executed and expectations of guests and the team are accomplished whilst continually looking for areas to improve. Continually update service offerings in line with trends and guest expectations. Manage food & beverage costs control. Ensure service and other standards according to SOPs are adhered to. Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and all stock items are managed. Ensure that the food & beverage team is continually trained in product and menu knowledge. Oversee the preparation and presentation of food & beverages to meet set standards. Ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in the restaurant. Contributes to the hiring process, conduct performance appraisals, and make personnel-related decisions. Ensures that food and beverage products are of the highest quality and presented effectively. Supports the Head of Bars & Restaurants in various administrative tasks, including departmental reports and strategic planning. Facilitates the integration of new hires into the department through orientation programs and tailored training initiatives to enable successful job performance. What we are looking for... Knowledge and experience in Spanish and Catalan tapas and cuisine. +3 years experience in hospitality within hotels/restaurants with high volume of food & beverage operations in a management role. Strong knowledge of the local food scene. Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Main job responsibilities are: This position will drive the delivery, manage the team, and participate in the technical decisions. Be responsible for the sustainable delivery of your team through the planning and execution phases with a focus on reliable and maintainable software. Partner closely with your Product Management peers to drive roadmap creation and execution. Hire, empower, develop, and delegate to geographically distributed engineers with different skill sets from your own. Participate in technical design and foster software engineering best practices. Manage your product’s technical needs, working with engineers to identify engineering investments and prioritising them in the backlog. What you will bring: Passion to resolve problems, manage risk, lead change, and facilitate collaborative decision-making. 5+ years of experience coding in one of the following languages: Go, PHP, JavaScript, C++, Java, and/or Python. You have 2+ years of experience directly managing successful software engineering teams as an Engineering Manager. Software engineering background that enables you to drive technical decisions within the team and engage with engineers at all levels of seniority. Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management. Nice to have: Experience leading multiple teams.
