Location: Vallès (Barcelona) – hybrid model (1 day on-site, 4 days remote) Schedule: Flexible Industry: Multinational chemical company We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced financial control analyst to join our dynamic and collaborative Life Sciences finance team. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, supporting cross-company processes, and driving continuous improvement in our multinational operations. You will work closely with national and international teams, contributing to strategic financial initiatives and supporting business growth. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform and review account reconciliations and intercompany transactions across multiple entities. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, ensuring compliance with IFRS/local GAAP. Collaborate on M&A integration, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Monitor and improve credit control, accounts payable/receivable, sales and purchasing cycles, with a focus on tax and cash flow implications. Assist in the preparation and review of annual accounts, ensuring completeness and compliance. Support internal and external audit processes, acting as a key contact for auditors and internal stakeholders. Participate in grant and subsidy reporting, ensuring proper documentation and financial accuracy. Serve as a point of reference for HQ and local finance teams, promoting alignment and consistency in financial practices. Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardization efforts using SAP and advanced Excel. Provide support to the other team members and internal customers, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment. Actively participate in the SAP S/4HANA migration project, contributing from a finance control perspective to ensure a smooth transition and alignment with business requirements. Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or audit within a multinational environment. Proven experience working with intercompany transactions, budgeting, and financial audits. Familiarity with international finance operations and cross-country collaboration (US, Germany, Italy, UK, France, Spain). Skills Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written); additional European languages are a plus. Strong proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel. Solid understanding of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Motivated by growth, learning, and contributing to a high-performing team.
