Lecturers/Senior Lecturers - Cyber Security (Technical), UNSW Canberra. Employment type: Full-time, 35 hours per week. Duration: Continuing to commence 2025 or 2026. Remuneration: Level B from $127,947; Level C from $155,403 plus 17% super. Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus. This role is based in Australia. The successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research and administration within the Canberra School of Professional Studies, with responsibilities across course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and related administrative duties. • Contribute to the school’s teaching, research and administration through course development and delivery, research outputs and higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and related administrative duties., • Engage in activities related to teaching of cyber security and computer science, including areas such as cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science., • Collaborate in a team environment and adapt teaching practices to support diverse student cohorts., • A PhD in a related discipline, plus relevant work experience., • A demonstrated track record of research and publication and/or competitive research income in a chosen field., • Demonstrated expertise and currency in technical aspects of cybersecurity., • Evidence of teaching and learning design, development, delivery and pastoral care at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with positive evaluation., • Experience using and designing with educational technologies and flexible delivery platforms., • Strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills, and emotional intelligence., • Ability to work with and support students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds and abilities., • Experience working with industry and professional bodies and applying work-integrated learning., • Course and program development., • Research output through publications in high-impact journals relative to opportunity., • Research grant successes., • Postgraduate supervision., • Academic administration and staff mentoring., • Flexible working options (work from home, flexible hours, etc.)., • Additional three days of leave during the December festive period., • Career development opportunities., • Up to 50% discount on UNSW courses., • Flexible 17% superannuation contributions, additional leave-loading payments and salary sacrifice., • Free gym access.
