Opdenergy is a growing independent renewable energy producer (IPP) with presence in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, with more than 21 years of experience. The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high-quality renewable energy projects across multiple countries. Its portfolio includes 2.6 GW (1.3 GW operational and over 1.3 GW ready to build or under construction), with a total development pipeline exceeding 18 GW. We are now looking for a Senior Asset Manager to give support to our Asset Team in the management of our projects in Spain and other European countries. Lead the financial monitoring of projects throughout both construction and operational phases, ensuring strong performance and timely identification of risks and opportunities. Drive the optimization of project cash flows, liquidity management, and dividend distribution strategies across the portfolio. Lead all waiver requests, lender negotiations and amendments to financing agreements, acting as the main point of contact with banks, investors, and financial advisors. Ensure full compliance with information and reporting obligations under financing agreements and key commercial contracts, including PPAs and other material agreements. Prepare and present financial reports, KPIs, and covenant ratios for lenders, investors, and senior management. Lead the control, analysis, and challenge of project revenues, costs, and budget deviations, proposing corrective actions where needed. Manage the issuance, renewal, and monitoring of project financial guarantees, bonds, and security instruments. Act as the business owner of the asset, with end-to-end responsibility for financial performance, cross-functional coordination, and long-term value creation. Support and coordinate with lenders on project hybridization initiatives with battery storage systems (BESS), evaluating financial impacts, covenant implications, and value optimization opportunities across the portfolio. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. At least 5-7 years of proven experience in asset management, project finance, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors. Strong experience managing SPVs, project finance structures, lender reporting, and covenant compliance. Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel and financial modelling; Strong knowledge of financial statements, cash flow management, and budgeting processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with banks, investors, advisors, and senior management. Experience working in cross-functional environments, collaborating with development, construction, environmental, legal, and O&M teams.
