From Persán, a leading multinational and family company in Europe in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of home care and personal care products, with 85 years working for a cleaner world, we are looking for you to join our Team, as R&D Packaging Category Expert Mission Lead the innovation and standardization strategy for a category of packaging materials (e.g., cardboard/fiber or rigid/flexible plastics), ensuring a balance between sustainability, performance, cost, and machinability. You will be the key contact for defining material roadmaps, commercializing new solutions, and ensuring the “pack-machine fit” on high-speed production lines. The activities will be able to perform at several plants of the group in Europe depending on the project. Main Responsabilities • Category strategy & roadmap: Define and execute a materials plan (innovation, cost‑out, light‑weighting, sustainability/regulation), aligned with R&D, Operations, Sustainability and the Business., • Materials development & industrialization: Conduct scouting and proofs‑of‑concept; scale to plant with formal validations (FAT/SAT/VAT, industrial trials, line trials, run‑at‑rate), ensuring pack‑to‑machine fit on high‑speed lines., • Specifications, quality & compliance: Create/update material specifications and deadlines/drawings; define test methods (e.g., top‑load, compression, drop, transport) and manage change control with full traceability and applicable regulations., • Technical sourcing & suppliers: Identify/approve/develop suppliers; agree technical criteria with Procurement, establish alternatives (dual‑sourcing) and manage performance (capability, stability, total cost of packaging)., • Plant continuous improvement: Drive OEE improvements, SMED for format changes, and reductions in scrap/waste and packaging‑related complaints; train site teams on new materials and standards. Academic Background • Bachelor´s or master’s degree in engineering (Industrial Design, Materials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering) or a related field. Soft Skills: Communication skills, analytic skills, ability to work in teams, active listening ability, ability to work.under pressure, results oriented, capacity of innovation, problem solving ability.
