What will you do? Provide technical management and leadership to a team of 5–10 Flight Software engineers. Participate in the full lifecycle of embedded onboard software development. Focus on the design and implementation of Command and Data Handling software on various hardware platforms. Interact with technical areas inside and outside the company, ensuring proper integration of subsystems interfacing with Command and Data Handling. Collaborate with multinational engineering teams across Spain, Portugal, UK, and Romania. Contribute to software design, development, validation, and documentation following applicable standards. Support activities across projects involving satellite rendezvous and IOS, ADR, planetary entry/descent/landing, launch vehicles, Earth observation, interplanetary exploration, and autonomous vehicles. What are we looking for? Recognized engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in embedded systems or software engineering relevant to the position. Experience in the design and development of real‑time and safety‑critical software for space or aeronautics, following standards such as ECSS or DO‑178. Strong programming skills in C and C++ (and optionally Python or Ada). Knowledge of software configuration control tools (GIT, SVN). Solid theoretical knowledge of real-time multithreaded systems, RTOS (RTEMS, VxWorks, FreeRTOS), and embedded architectures (LEON, ARM, PowerPC). Experience providing software team leadership and generating technical documentation aligned with development standards. High level of English (spoken and written).
