The Role of Pastry Sous Chef: Four Seasons Hotel Madrid is looking for a pastry sous chef to join our team. Our Pastry Sous Chef should provide leadership and management for the Main Kitchen by establishing plans of character, integrity, and quality which result in the long-range continued growth and profitability of the department. The main duties to perform are: Executing the instructions of the Executive Pastry Chef and Executive Chef. Assist in training, development, of employees in the Main Kitchen through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met. Control Main kitchen labor and operating expenses through effective planning, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the department, division and hotel. Ensuring the adherence to the hygiene and safety standards and requirements per the applicable Legislation. Set up control systems which will assure quality and portion consistency and the ability to create proper purchasing specifications as well as monitor and review operating criteria and develop an awareness of the importance of the preparation and quality of the product. Communicate with employees to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments. Sign all food requisitions and make the proper adjustments. Check on all equipment in the Main Kitchen that has to be fixed and report to the Restaurant Chef and / or the Executive Chef immediately. Check all the kitchen storerooms daily; ensure that food is well rotated on a first in-first out rotation. Assisting in planning and developing menus for the hotel’s outlets. Our Ideal Pastry Sous Chef will have: Our ideal Pastry Sous Chef candidate has excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional service according to standards. This position does require an applicant with a flexible schedule, able to work morning and afternoon shifts, weekends, and holidays. The ability to multi-task is required, as well as the ability to plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees. Must have at least 1 years’ experience as a Pastry Sous Chef in a similar environment. Must have the legal right to work in Spain and have fluency in English and Spanish. Del 20 de junio al 30 de agosto (con posibilidad de ampliar hasta el 10 de septiembre) necesitamos reforzar nuestro equipo para dinamizar actividades en un conocido complejo turístico de la zona. Horario 40 h semanales en turnos ya definidos: Mañanas de 10:30 a 13:00 (2 h) algunos días. Tardes-noche de 19:15 a 00:15 o de 19:00 a 01:00 (5-6 h). Los dos animadores se reparten los turnos para cubrir la programación toda la semana. Funciones Diseño y dinamización de juegos, gymkhanas, talleres, deportes y veladas para niños y jóvenes (6-17 años). Organización de actividades puntuales para adultos y personas mayores (bingo, baile, excursiones cortas, etc.). Apoyo en la preparación de material, montaje de espacios y cierre de la jornada. Perfil que buscamos Titulación en Monitor/a de Ocio y Tiempo Libre, Animación Sociocultural, TSEAS o similar. Experiencia previa con infancia y juventud (campamentos, hoteles, clubs deportivos…). Imprescindible: actitud positiva, creatividad, responsabilidad y motivación para trabajar en equipo. Muy recomendable disponer de vehículo propio para disfrutar de tu tiempo libre por la comarca. Valoraremos idioma inglés u otros, y habilidades artísticas/deportivas (malabares, música, baile, escalada, etc.). Te ofrecemos Alojamiento gratuito compartido en el propio recinto (habitaciones equipadas + cocina). Contrato 40 h/semana según convenio + pluses + alta en Seguridad Social. Buen ambiente de trabajo en plena naturaleza (Valle del Ambroz) y tiempo libre para descubrir piscinas naturales, rutas BTT y pueblos con encanto.
