DevOps Manager Madrid / Malaga - Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office Global IT Consultancy DevOps Manager / Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office / Role can be based in either Malaga or Madrid / 25 days holiday + bank holidays / Health Insurance / Personal Development Budget We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Manager to lead a team of Software Developers and DevOps Engineers responsible for building, improving, and operating critical internal applications and platforms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical leadership, people management, and product thinking. You’ll help shape engineering practices, guide technical direction, support team development, and ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions across the business. What you’ll be doing • Leading and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team across software development and DevOps, • Owning the delivery, operational quality, and ongoing evolution of internal applications and services, • Working closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable delivery plans, • Driving engineering best practices including CI/CD, automation, observability, code quality, and operational reliability, • Supporting architectural and technical decision making across platforms and applications, • Helping teams balance delivery speed with scalability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability, • Removing blockers, improving workflows, and creating an environment where engineers can thrive, • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting career development across the team, • Encouraging a collaborative, accountable, and outcome-focused engineering culture What we’re looking for • Strong experience leading engineering, DevOps, platform, or infrastructure teams, • Solid technical background across modern software engineering and DevOps practices, • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management, and operational workflows, • Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes environments, • Familiarity with technologies such as Python, Django, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, GitLab, and Nexus, • Good understanding of Linux, infrastructure, networking, cloud or private cloud environments, • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, • Strong leadership skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset Nice to have • Experience with OpenStack environments, • Exposure to tools such as Helm, Terraform, Ansible, Argo CD, Prometheus, or Grafana, • Experience improving developer experience, platform reliability, or engineering workflows, • Background spanning software development, infrastructure, and operations This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative engineering environment where you’ll have genuine influence over team culture, technical direction, and platform evolution.
