The Principal Hybrid Cloud Architect is a senior individual contributor within DTS, responsible for defining and governing the enterprise cloud and hybrid architecture across on‑premises, public cloud, and edge environments. The role acts as the technical authority for cloud and infrastructure architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security requirements, and operational excellence. The architect will define the “North Star” architecture across cloud, on‑prem and integration layers, establishing the standards and guardrails that enable scalable, secure and cost‑efficient platforms. We are looking for someone who not only knows cloud, but who is passionate about transforming organizations — and who enjoys doing it as part of a team. Responsibilities • Cloud, Hybrid, and Infrastructure Strategy, • Define and maintain the enterprise cloud and hybrid architecture strategy aligned to the IT 5‑year plan., • Establish a “North Star” architecture integrating public cloud, private cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, edge / IoT connectivity patterns, and data platform and integration layers., • Translate strategy into reference architectures, standards, and multi‑year roadmaps., • On‑Prem Infraestructure and Platform Architecture, • Define architecture standards and the evolution roadmap for virtualization platforms (VMware, hypervisors), compute infrastructure (servers, OS standards, patching baselines), storage platforms (SAN / NAS, object storage, tiering) and backup, recovery and disaster recovery architectures., • Ensure seamless integration between on‑prem and cloud environments., • Drive modernization strategies (virtualization optimization, storage efficiency, DR automation., • Hybrid Cloud and Platform Architecture, • Collaborate in define architecture for landing zones, identity, networking and governance models across Azure, AWS, OCI., • Establish architecture principles, standards and best practices for the consistent use of multiple cloud providers., • Implement interoperability, portability and centralized management strategies across multi‑cloud, hybrid and edge environments., • Data Platform and Integration Architecture, • Enable architectural patterns for data platforms, analytics environments and data pipelines, working together with the Data Office., • Establish integration patterns across enterprise systems, cloud and on‑prem applications, and APIs, middleware and event‑driven architectures., • Financial and Cost Optimization (FinOps Alignement), • Define architecture principles that enable cost transparency and optimization across cloud and on‑prem environments., • Support TCO modeling and cost‑aware design decisions across infrastructure and platform investments., • Drive optimization across cloud consumption, infrastructure utilization and storage / compute efficiency, including showback / chargeback models., • Journey to Cloud Leadership, • Design and execute the end‑to‑end cloud migration strategy (Journey to Cloud)., • Assess the existing application and workload portfolio through cloud readiness analysis., • Define the appropriate migration patterns for each workload (Rehost, Replatform, Refactor, Retire, Retain)., • Ensure successful delivery of cloud adoption roadmap milestones, managing risks and dependencies on critical systems., • Cross‑Functional Technical Alignement, • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business‑aligned outcomes., • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to architects, engineers and program teams; act as a reference inside internal communities of practice., • Collaborate with cloud providers and strategic partners to maximize the value of technology investments., • Innovation and Continuous Improvement, • Identify emerging technologies across cloud, infrastructure, data and integration domains., • Drive innovation aligned with business value and enterprise strategy., • Continuously evolve architecture standards to improve resilience, scalability and efficiency. Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field., • Between 5–10 years of experience in cloud, infrastructure or enterprise architecture roles., • Demonstrable, successful experience leading Journey to Cloud programs., • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise‑scale hybrid architectures across cloud and on‑prem., • Strong expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), on‑prem infrastructure (VMware, servers, storage, backup, DR), networking and security architecture, and data platforms and integration patterns., • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation., • Observability and FinOps: monitoring tools, cost optimization and showback / chargeback., • DevOps and CI/CD: integration of pipelines with cloud architecture (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)., • Experience defining Landing Zones, Cloud Operating Models and cloud governance frameworks (CAF, WAF, etc.)., • Cloud certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, OCI Architect., • Experience with FinOps, TBM or IT financial management frameworks., • Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes / container platforms., • Experience in regulated industries (pharma, healthcare) is a plus., • Advanced level of English and Spanish.
