At ING we are looking for a Employee Benefits Expert Your role and work environment: We are looking for a highly experienced and rigorous professional to join our People / HR function in a critical role combining Employee Benefits, Flexible Compensation, Payroll, and Labor Relations. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to challenge the status quo to continuously improve processes and employee experience. Your key responsibilities: As an Employee Benefits Expert you will: • Own the end-to-end management of employee benefits and flexible compensation programs, such as meal vouchers, transport, childcare, training, health insurance, company car, pension plans, savings and insurance products., • Ensure full understanding and correct application of benefit schemes, including eligibility rules, limits, and employee elections., • Assess and manage the tax, payroll, and Social Security impact of each benefit and flexible compensation component, translating benefit choices into correct payroll concepts: earnings, deductions, taxable and non‑taxable elements., • Ensure correct application of benefits and flexible compensation in payroll calculations., • Ensure compliance with Spanish labor, tax, and Social Security legislation., • Provide support on labor relations topics, collective agreements, employment benefits regulations and internal policies., • Act as subject-matter expert, advising HR, Finance, and employees on benefit-related matters., • Lead benefit audits and controls to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance., • Ensure high data quality, governance, and reporting standards., • Drive improvements and simplification of benefit processes., • Manage and optimize benefit and payroll-related processes in Workday., • Ensure accurate data flow between benefits, payroll, taxation, and Social Security reporting., • Benefits vendor management (SLAs, day to day controls, contract management) What are we looking for? And if the shoe fits… don’t hesitate to apply! • Strong, hands-on experience in Employee Benefits and Flexible Compensation management (at least 5 years of experience)., • Deep knowledge of Spanish labor law, tax regulations, and Social Security framework in relation employee benefits., • Proven experience integrating benefits and payroll processes., • Operational experience with Workday (benefits & compensation modules)., • High level of English (working language; both written and spoken)., • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations., • Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity and critical thinking capability., • Continuous improvement mindset: always looking for better, simpler, and more efficient ways of working., • High level of flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment., • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
