PhD: AI for Automotive Architecture Validation Unsupervised learning and simulation for intelligent system testing. This PhD program is a collaboration between SEAT and the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB), where strategic research projects are carried out. SEAT is committed to quality research and to advance in new areas of the future. For this reason, we are currently looking for motivated candidates to join our teams. Project Description Context The increasing complexity of modern vehicle electrical and electronic (E/E) architectures exceeds the capabilities of traditional validation approaches. Manual test‑case definition is time‑consuming, error‑prone, and increasingly insufficient to cover real driving conditions or rare edge cases. Conventional validation heavily depends on physical prototypes, leading to higher development and logistics costs as well as longer development cycles. To address these challenges, new data‑driven and intelligent validation strategies are required to ensure robustness, scalability, and efficiency in future vehicle development. Description This PhD project aims to develop an AI‑driven validation system capable of learning autonomously from series‑production vehicles. Using unsupervised learning techniques, the system will model normal system behavior and detect anomalies or unexpected behaviors in development vehicles without the need for predefined test cases. Furthermore, the integration of the proposed AI solution with simulation environments will enable the creation of realistic, data‑driven test scenarios. This approach will significantly enhance validation coverage, including scenarios that are difficult or costly to reproduce with physical testing alone. Overall, the project will contribute to more efficient, robust, and future‑proof validation processes for next‑generation automotive architectures. What do we offer?
