Alongside its Council Members and governance bodies, WTTC’s leadership team is responsible for guiding the organisation’s strategy, positioning and global influence. About the Role Build and maintain a network of contacts across governments, regulatory bodies, and policy stakeholders, under the guidance of the VP. Assist in representing WTTC at relevant events, working groups, and meetings with public sector stakeholders. Contribute to positioning WTTC as a trusted source of industry data, insights, and forecast. This role is ideal for candidates with consultancy experience looking to apply their strategic, analytical, and client-facing skills in a global, high-impact environment at the intersection of government, policy, and Travel & Tourism Responsibilities • Assist in the execution of lobbying and advocacy plans aligned with WTTC’s research and policy priorities., • Monitor policy developments, legislative proposals, and regulatory trends impacting Travel & Tourism (visa, connectivity, sustainability)., • Support relationship-building efforts in priority countries (e.g., G20, the EU, APEC)., • Prepare briefings, reports, and materials to support engagement with government stakeholders., • Contributing to Strategic Initiatives, • Support the VP in developing and managing relationships with governments, including Ministries, PM offices, and tourism authorities., • Coordinate and prepare high-level bilateral meetings (Ministerial level)., • Maintain and continuously update the global government stakeholder database., • Track engagement pipelines and ensure follow-up actions., • Support the implementation of key initiatives aligned with member priorities., • Assist in coordinating the GA working group and engaging members., • Support collaboration with international organisations (e.g., UN bodies, OECD), by coordinating inputs, research alignment, and communications., • Contribute to WTTC participation in relevant international forums and events., • Supporting Industry Coalition Engagement, • Assist in maintaining and strengthening relationships with key industry associations., • Support coordination of joint activities, messaging, and meetings to ensure alignment across the coalition., • Help identify opportunities for collaboration with additional organisations, particularly in priority countries., • Contribute to the development of joint initiatives and shared advocacy priorities. Internal Coordination and Support • Support collaboration with internal teams and member organisations to advance government affairs., • Assist the VP in managing relationships with members and stakeholders., • Prepare materials for speaking engagements, meetings, and events as required., • Maintain accurate records of government and industry contacts, ensuring databases are up to date., • Provide administrative and project coordination support, including tracking budgets and travel where required. Qualifications • 5-8+ years’ experience in government affairs, public policy, international relations, consulting or related field. Required Skills • Experience in consulting/advisory environments, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under pressure is an advantage., • Strong political acumen and understanding of government dynamics and decision-making processes., • Understanding of the Travel & Tourism industry is desirable., • Research and analytical skills., • Strong organisational and project coordination skills., • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and cultures., • Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and translate them into clear, actionable insights., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to draft high-quality, diplomatic correspondence and briefing materials., • Proven ability to operate with discretion, judgement, and professionalism in high-level environments., • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
