We are looking for an enthusiastic full time supervisor to join our growing bakery! We currently have four shops, with plans to open more, meaning lots of opportunities for job development, stability and growth!

The Upper Place is seeking a highly experienced and motivated General Manager to join our team at the new Street Food Market in North London. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the market's operations, including managing the budget, formulating policies, coordinating business activities, supervising staff, managing costs, ensuring excellent customer service, improving administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the smooth running of the Street Food Market. - Allocate budget resources effectively and manage operational costs to ensure financial targets are met. - Monitor financial activities, prepare financial reports, and make recommendations to the Managing Director. - Hire and train employees, set performance targets, and motivate staff to achieve their goals. - Provide excellent customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. - Engage with vendors, build relationships, and identify new business opportunities. - Improve administration processes to ensure the efficient and effective running of the market. Requirements: - To comply with regulations regarding alcohol handling, the applicant must meet the legal age requirement. - Previous experience in a General Manager or similar role in the food industry. - Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people. - Sound financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and costs effectively. - Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays. - Preferably, candidates should hold a personal alcohol license. Key duties To take full responsibility for the day-to-day management & coordination of the Maintenance Team and Lead Operatives. To regularly visit the Homes and to be responsible for the overall quality of the property & the living environment. To take overall responsibility for the financial planning & control of the Maintenance teams, including budget production & control, procurement of third-party services. To manage the planning, programming and control of the works carried out by both the Maintenance Operatives and Third-Party Contractors, to achieve a high-quality work programme. Engage with external contractors to support the delivery of services to ensure that external contractors provide value for money and resident focused services. Oversee the coordination & apportionment of Out-of-Hours Call Outs & Overtime. Provide expert technical advice to team on property repair issues. To manage & control the recruitment of and to provide & support adequate training to, the Maintenance Department, for tasks that are required to carry out now & in the future. To ensure that all Health and Safety aspects are adhered too through training and toolbox talks and that all operatives have adequate PPE where required. Ensure that our Homes are compliant for property related matters and take a lead in the overall responsibility of Water Hygiene.

Experience making coffee is helpful but training can be given. A positive attitude and a smile is essential!
