About Bright Bridge Arts
Bright Bridge Arts is a creative communications agency working across the international arts and cultural landscape.
We develop campaigns for organisations and individuals across theatre, galleries, museums, film, music and the wider creative industries, combining strategic communications, media relations, digital storytelling, events and reputation-building.
Alongside our agency work, we are developing Cloud Art, our digital arts magazine exploring contemporary culture, visual arts and the creative ideas shaping the world around us.
Our ambition is simple:
More art. More culture. More noise.
The Opportunity
We are building a selective international network of freelance Arts Publicists to support major client campaigns across key cultural markets.
As a freelance publicist, you will become part of a flexible international campaign team and take responsibility for the Earned Media element of campaigns within your territory.
You will work closely with Bright Bridge Arts and other specialist creatives to develop compelling narratives, identify the right media opportunities and secure meaningful coverage — from influential cultural publications and specialist titles to broadcast, digital and mainstream media.
This is particularly suited to an experienced publicist who already understands their market, knows how cultural stories travel, and has strong relationships with relevant journalists, editors and critics.
Key Responsibilities
Media Relations

  • Develop targeted media lists and campaign approaches within your territory.
  • Pitch features, interviews, reviews, profiles and other editorial opportunities.
  • Build relationships with relevant arts, culture, design, entertainment and lifestyle journalists.
  • Secure meaningful editorial coverage across print, digital, broadcast and specialist media.
  • Monitor opportunities, responses and coverage throughout the campaign.

International Collaboration

  • Work as part of a distributed Bright Bridge campaign team.
  • Collaborate with strategists, copywriters, designers, filmmakers and other creative specialists.
  • Maintain consistency of campaign messaging across territories.
  • Contribute local market insight to international campaigns.

Campaign Delivery

  • Work to agreed campaign objectives, timelines and deliverables.
  • Maintain accurate media tracking and reporting.
  • Handle confidential campaign information and embargoed material appropriately.
  • Work within Bright Bridge Arts’ agreed systems, processes and client protocols.

Editorial & Compliance Standards

  • Ensure media activity is undertaken professionally and in accordance with applicable local requirements.
  • Respect client confidentiality, embargoes and agreed release dates.
  • Maintain high standards of editorial integrity.
  • Follow Bright Bridge Arts’ agreed policies regarding the use of generative AI in client-facing written materials.

What We’re Looking For
We are interested in publicists who bring genuine market knowledge, strong media relationships and excellent judgement.
Ideally, you will have:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in arts, culture, entertainment, design, luxury or related communications.
  • A demonstrable record of securing quality editorial coverage.
  • Established relationships with relevant journalists, editors, critics and producers in your territory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong pitching and storytelling ability.
  • The confidence to work independently and manage campaign deadlines.
  • Experience working remotely with distributed creative or agency teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and professional discretion.

Experience across contemporary art, galleries, museums, theatre, film, music or luxury is particularly welcome.
International or multi-market campaign experience is a strong advantage.
Territories
We are particularly interested in experienced publicists based in:
London | Paris | New York | Los Angeles
We are also open to exceptional applicants in other major cultural markets where there is a strong arts and media ecosystem.
