The Head Chef supervises the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage the kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time. A minimum of 3 years; uninterrupted; working in an Italian cuisine kitchen is required. Working 45/48 hours x week (5 day / 2 days off). The restaurant operates a Split Shift during the week. You will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served for our customers to have a pleasant dining experience. Responsibilities: Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders and quality check Supervise food prep and cooking Check food plating and temperature and quality freshness Establish portion sizes Schedule kitchen staff shifts Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, under supervision Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators) Keep weekly and monthly cost reports Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area Requirements and skills: Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef Knowledge of Italian cuisine. Responsibilities - To support the seamless running of the kitchen, by providing a highly efficient and effective service whilst ensuring that all Food production and operation adheres to specified recipes and food cost percentage. Reporting to the Head Chef. - The main responsibilities will be to assist and supervise the agreed standard of food service for the duration of the shift.
