We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide high-quality supplementary educational support to Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils, particularly in Maths and English. The successful candidate must be UK-based and preferably hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). They will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills. This role requires a commitment to creating a positive, structured, and nurturing learning environment that supports both academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons aligned to the national curriculum and individual pupil needs.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group tuition in Maths and English.
- Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to maximise learning outcomes.
- Provide regular feedback to parents and carers on progress and areas for development.
- Create engaging, interactive learning experiences that build understanding and confidence.
- Foster a supportive and motivating environment that encourages pupil resilience and self-belief.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK and preferably hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged children (KS1 and KS2).
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Maths and English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including SEN.
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every child reach their potential.
