PT (£14.00 - £15.00 P/H) Experience / English must needed / Must be flexible mostly will be working on weekend Reports to: Head Chef / Senior Sous Chef Purpose of the Role As Kitchen Porter, you keep the heart of the kitchen beating. You make sure the space stays clean, organised and safe, and support the chefs so they can focus on creating incredible food. You also play an important role in the kitchen’s culture - being a positive presence, communicating well, and helping the team work smoothly together. Key Responsibilities 🧼 Cleaning & Organisation • Wash and sanitise pots, pans, utensils, crockery and kitchen equipment quickly and efficiently, • Keep kitchen floors, walls and work surfaces clean and clear at all times, • Follow daily and deep-cleaning schedules, • Handle and dispose of rubbish, recycling and food waste safely and correctly, • Clean and maintain dishwashing machines, refill salt/rinse aid, and report faults 📦 Operational Support • Collect dirty dishes from the pass and return clean items to the kitchen and FOH, • Set up and break down kitchen areas before and after service, • Receive, check and store deliveries, ensuring stock is labelled, dated and rotated (FIFO), • Keep dry store, fridges, freezers and cleaning areas tidy and organised, • Restock kitchen stations with equipment, crockery, gloves, cleaning supplies and utensils 🥕 Basic Food Prep *(if trained and supervised)* • Wash and peel vegetables, portion ingredients, weigh items for mise-en-place, • Assist with garnishes or simple prep tasks as directed by chefs, • Label and date all items correctly following food safety procedures ⚡ Health, Safety & Compliance • Follow food hygiene, COSHH and health & safety procedures at all times, • Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, • Report hazards, breakages, pest sightings or maintenance issues immediately, • Support the team with allergen and cross-contamination controls by ensuring clean-down between tasks 💛 Team, Culture & Communication • Be a positive, reliable and respectful team member - support others, especially during busy service, • Communicate clearly with chefs, FOH and managers to keep service flowing smoothly, • Share information (e.g. when equipment runs out or faults occur) quickly and clearly, • Help create a calm, collaborative and safe working environment, • Uphold company values and behaviours in everything you do Skills & Qualities • Strong work ethic and attention to detail, • Good time management and ability to work under pressure, • Clear communication and teamwork, • Reliable, adaptable and eager to learn
