    Position Overview We are seeking a patient, dedicated and supportive SEN Tutor to provide tailored educational support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will deliver engaging, individualised tutoring sessions based on each student’s abilities, learning needs and educational goals. The role involves working closely with students, parents and the GoTutors team to help learners build their academic skills, confidence and independence in a positive and encouraging environment. Responsibilities • Deliver individualised tutoring sessions tailored to each student’s learning needs, abilities and pace, • Support students with Special Educational Needs, including learners who may require additional help with communication, concentration, organisation or academic development, • Adapt teaching methods, resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging, • Support students in subjects including Maths and English, according to their individual level and educational goals, • Develop structured lesson plans and learning activities appropriate to each student, • Monitor and record student progress, identifying strengths and areas requiring further support, • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students develop confidence and independence, • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding progress, learning objectives and areas for development, • Work collaboratively with the GoTutors team and other professionals where appropriate to provide consistent support, • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, topics covered and student progress, • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment Requirements • Previous experience tutoring, teaching or supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs, • A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach to teaching and learning, • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in different ways according to individual learning needs, • Ability to build positive and professional relationships with students and parents, • Good organisational and time-management skills, • Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt educational materials for different abilities and learning styles, • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people to achieve their academic and personal potential, • Knowledge or experience of SEN strategies and inclusive education is highly desirable, • Relevant qualifications in education, SEN, teaching or subject-specific areas are advantageous but not essential, • An appropriate enhanced DBS check will be required for the role ( Can be arranged through GoTutors)
