We are seeking a dedicated Equine Instructor or Teacher to lead our specialised Horse/Equine Studies provision within our Alternative Provision (AP) in Accrington. This unique role involves planning and delivering practical, hands-on sessions covering horse care, handling, riding (where applicable), and stable management. You will be instrumental in using these activities to improve the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) and educational outcomes of students facing complex barriers to learning. The Role: Therapeutic Equine Education This position blends vocational teaching, animal care, and essential pastoral support. You will be responsible for: Curriculum Delivery: Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons on horse care, equine health, handling techniques, and stable management. Safety & Logistics: Ensuring stringent adherence to equine safety standards, health and safety procedures, and safeguarding protocols during all sessions, including necessary risk assessments for off-site visits.
