This is a full-time opportunity, on a permanent basis. The role will be based in 7-8 Wellington Place, Leeds, LS1 4AP. Our Canary Wharf and South Mimms sites are only available as contractual work locations to existing employees of the MHRA. Client Details We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, this can flex up to 12 days a month, with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly. The Digital and Technology Group (D&T) lies at the heart of the Agency and is responsible for delivering an optimised IT infrastructure and maximising the secure use of data to enable our scientists, inspectors, and the rest of the organisation to deliver world class services which can improve outcomes for patients and the general public. The Data & Information Governance team within the Digital Enablement function is responsible for setting the MHRA's standards and frameworks for our management and use of data and information and ensuring that the Agency can access the data it needs when it needs it and draw maximum insight from the data it holds in a safe and secure way. Description This is a high-profile role, where you will lead, coordinate and support digital Information & Data Governance policies, processes, and technology across the Agency's digital solutions offerings. This role will include working with the Senior Information Risk Owner, Knowledge & Information Management, and Information & Data Architecture teams to make risk-based decisions on strategic and tactical issues, working with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers at various levels. The postholder will be able to identify and articulate the business and operational value of Information & Data across the agency at all levels, and will work with colleagues to review and influence designs of systems, and to provide substantial input into the transformation of collaborative practices in line with the Digital Workplace Roadmap and programme delivery roadmap. The postholder will be expected to quickly get up to speed with Agency culture and processes, not least so you are in a stronger position to share and develop the culture generally around the Digital Workplace and specifically for Information and Data Governance. Key responsibilities: • Information & Data Governance Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement Information & Data Governance Frameworks and collaboration strategies that align with the agency's business goals and objectives., • Information and Data Governance Tool and Platform Management: Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of Information & Data Governance management tools and platforms, ensuring they meet the current and future needs of the workforce., • User Training and Support: Work with the Head of Data & Information Governance to ensure that training and support is provided to employees on Information & Data Governance policies , processes and technologies , helping them to maximise their efficiency and productivity and ensuring MHRA meets Information & Data Governance related legal and regulatory requirements (IE GDPR , DPA) ., • Change Management: Lead Information & Data Governance related change management initiatives to drive the adoption of new Information & Data Governance tools and processes, ensuring a smooth transition for all employees., • Collaboration and Communication: Foster a culture of collaboration and open communication by promoting the use of Information and Data Governance policies, processes and technologies that facilitate teamwork and information sharing., • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance and usage of Information & Data Governance Frameworks across MHRA, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes., • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including senior management, to understand their needs and ensure that Information & Data Governance initiatives are aligned with business objectives., • Information & Data Governance Framework (IDGF): Contribute to the development and deployments of the MHRA IDGF to ensure effective MHRA wide information governance and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The IDGF is a holistic framework which cover the following areas:, • People - MHRA people need to have the necessary skills and capability to fully exploit new and existing document and digital workplace management tools., • Process - Ensuring new document and workplace management processes, and existing process improvement opportunities, are identified and deployed., • Policy - Policies and procedures will be identified and constructed in line with innovative solutions and practices., • Organisation - Work will be conducted to ensure that MHRA has the correct roles and responsibilities and governance structure to fully exploit the new document and workplace management tools.
